The discharge of a shipment of 80,147 tons of Venezuelan oil for Belarus was completed at Ukraine’s Odessa seaport at about 11 p.m. on Tuesday, a seaport traffic control officer told BelaPAN.
The light sweet Santa Barbara crude was delivered to the port on June 19 by the Minerva Sophia tanker.
On June 24, the oil will start being loaded into tank cars for delivery to Belarus’ Mazyr oil refinery by rail, the source said.
The first 80,000-ton shipment, which was received in early May, was successfully refined and the resulting petroleum products were mostly supplied to Ukraine, an executive at the refinery told BelaPAN.
